New school year tips

Start of the year faculty meeting. Today I thought I would share with you three interesting tidbits.

1. If you do not have a Gmail account yet. Sign up (www.gmail.com) Today Google allows you to call someone's phone (yes! phone not computer, any phone!!) for free anytime in the US. Make your phone calls to parents from your desk!

2. Also to simplify your communication with parents, I found out the following. It is possible to get your voice mail from the Loyola voice system forwarded to your email. Like me, if you have a hard time to get to the phone to check your voice mail, this feature is perfect. Just shoot me an email and I will walk you through.

3. Everyone knows that I am a Google fan boy. I just came across this list of stuff that Google can help us teachers in our daily activities. It is worth checking it out. 100 Ways Google Can Make You a Better Educator | OEDb
